Lying
in the quiet, listening to the rain
Watching
nature’s teardrops falling down my window pane
Can't
seem to clean this closet; so much of you remains
So
I lie here in the quiet, listening to the rain
I
remember when the rain would never get us down
You
and I would splash through all those puddles on the ground
We'd
laugh and sing 'til we were drenched; oh, how we loved to play
Everything
is different now, listening to the rain
Lightning
flashing and thunder rolling across the sky
It's
pouring hard as if the whole world needs to cry
So,
I’m lying in the quiet, listening to the rain
Wondering
if it's true that any good can come from pain
The
clouds will part and flow'rs will bloom, but for now,
I’ll stay
Lying
in the quiet, listening to the rain
Just
lying in the quiet, listening to the rain
